Bainbridge House
Bainbridge House is the birthplace of William Bainbridge, commander of the USS Constitution during the War of 1812, serves as a museum with changing exhibitions, a library, photographic archives and a museum shop. Princeton University
Princeton University covers 1,600-acres and enrolls some 6,000 students. The original 1756 building, Nassau Hall, served as a barracks and hospital during the Revolutionary War. Sculptures from the John B. Putnam Jr. Memorial Collection, including works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson and Pablo Picasso, are displayed on campus. Rockingham State Historic Site
Rockingham State Historic Site is where Washington wrote his “Farewell Orders to the Armies” at this site, his headquarters August through November 1783 while the Continental Congress was in session in Princeton. Six Flags Great Adventure
This park features more than 100 rides, shows and attractions in 12 themed areas. Highlights include El Toro, a wooden coaster; the themed area Plaza del Carnaval; three children's areas, including Bugs Bunny National Park, that offer rides and activities for youngsters under 54 inches tall; the megacoaster Nitro; Dolphin Discovery; and Temple of the Tiger. The Thomas Clarke House
The Thomas Clarke House is in Princeton Battlefield State Park, where Gen. George Washington led his forces to victory in 1777. Gen. Hugh Mercer died in the house from wounds suffered in the battle. Built by a Quaker farmer in 1772, the Georgian-style house contains period furniture and Revolutionary War exhibits. Call (609) 921-0074 for more information.
